Microsoft will sell a new version of the Xbox 360 with a much larger 120-gigabyte hard drive and a better high-definition video connection.

The goal is to expand the Xbox beyond just the video game market.

The new Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite will sell for $479.99. Those who already have the 20-gigabyte model will be able to buy a 20-gigabyte hard drive for $179.99. Both the new console and the drive are expected to be in US stores April 29.
