MOTOROLA Q Moto-Q cellphone review

MOTO Q
A Windows Mobile Smartphone, Motorola Q was first released on the 31st of May 2006. It differs from Verizon’s flagship phone, the Treo 700w, in that the MOTO Q is thinner and runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone Edition and lacks the touch screen support. It also has a landscape screen and makes us of a thumbwheel on the right side of the unit which is similar to industry leader the Blackberry.

The Motorola Q is a CDMA model with 800/1900-MHz bands and has CDMA 2000 and CDMA 2000 EV-DO networks. It uses an Intel Xscale PXA272 312 MHz processor. It [Read more...]

HTC MOGUL Review

A supposedly newer and better version of the P4000 Titan, the HTC Mogul comes as the replacement for the PPS-6700 from Sprint’s roster and the XV-6700 for Verizon. A hefty package of ingenious features and options all packed into a small phone. Even with a full QWERTY keyboard, this lovely piece of technology still manages to keep it all in a medium sized package. The question that’s hanging on everyone’s head is if the Mogul can provide an equally strong performance to balance out all the great features it has.

Let’s start with the camera which is a 2 mega pixel unit. There is flash, a great addition, but since it is not a xenon flash, its range is rather limited. So when taking pictures in the dark, it could be useful but the use for it decreases the farther the object is. One great thing is that it only takes about 2 seconds to start the camera up. About a total of 4 photos can be capture within a span of 10 seconds which is absolutely wonderful! The quality [Read more...]

ETEN X600 Review

The ETEN X600, the successor of ETEN’s X500 has the smallest dimensions when compared to all the other models of the company and rivals the LG KS20 as well as the HTC Touch. As with all ETEN mobile phones, the X600 also runs on Windows Mobile 6 and has a built in GPS with a SirfStar III chipset as well as WiFi.

The ETEN X600 has a 2.8” QVGA display which is able to reproduce a total number of 65 536 colors. The picture on the screen is well saturated and contrasting colors and you would have absolutely not trouble reading what is displayed on the screen even under bright light. But as will almost all smartphones, the camera on the X600 is mediocre. It has a 2-megapixel camera which doesn’t have auto-focus but does have a mirror for taking self-portraits.

As the ETEN X600 wasn’t really [Read more...]

E-TEN GLOFIISH M800 Review

Considered to be the most advanced model in E-TEN’s roster of smartphones, the Glofiish M800 is an upgrade from its predecessor, the X800. The Glofiish M800 comes with a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard and combined with its many excellent features, the M800 is like a dream come true for all tech junkies out there. In terms of software, the ETEN M800 is another Windows Mobile 6 Professional phone looking at it from this vantage it is an exact copy of the X800. The Glofiish M800 has an M-Desk Menu already loaded to the phone, which is the same with all the other ETEN models. To activate the M-Desk menu, just double tap the QuickBar button. The shortcut will re-direct you to the other menus that the phone has, this menu is divided into four tabs namely:

1) Phone
2) PDA
3) Fun
4) System

With phones getting more and more advanced at each new model comes, simply using your mobile phone for talking seems to be no longer just the only option. The new Windows Mobile phones [Read more...]

HTC TOUCH CRUISE Review

Ever got lost while going somewhere? Then HTC has a solution for your problem. The new HTC Touch Cruise, successor the P3300 Artemis would definitely make you feel like an explorer. Why? Read on to find out.

Lets start with the HTC Touch Cruise’s camera features. The phone comes with a 3 mega pixel which includes autofocus. But don’t get all impressed just yet, because as with all smartphones, the manufacturer didn’t really focus on this feature of the phone. You can take photos of things that you like but the quality isn’t all that great. But still, it is a great feature. It takes about 3 seconds to start the camera and it would take another 2 seconds to focus the camera. The actual taking of the photo including the time to save it would take you another 6-7 seconds. This is considerably good considering that this is not a camera dedicated phone.
