MOTOROLA Q Moto-Q cellphone review

MOTO Q
A Windows Mobile Smartphone, Motorola Q was first released on the 31st of May 2006. It differs from Verizon’s flagship phone, the Treo 700w, in that the MOTO Q is thinner and runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone Edition and lacks the touch screen support. It also has a landscape screen and makes us of a thumbwheel on the right side of the unit which is similar to industry leader the Blackberry.

The Motorola Q is a CDMA model with 800/1900-MHz bands and has CDMA 2000 and CDMA 2000 EV-DO networks. It uses an Intel Xscale PXA272 312 MHz processor. It [Read more...]

LG Shine CU720 cellphone review

LG Shine (CU720)
As one model gleams, this baby shines.

The screen is an advantage of 2.25″ with 262k color display. The phonebook capacity can amazingly store up to a thousand entries, and has a wireless web browser. The LG CU720 Shine lets you access emails or send instant messages through AOL, Windows Live, and Yahoo! This speakerphone also comes equipped with a stereo Bluetooth for easier file transfers and connectivity. Live television streaming, as well as listening to the radio, is not a problem with this model. The camera comes with a good quality of 2 megapixels of clear and crisp details and can capture videos as well. The music player provides clear sounds for enjoyment.

LG KS20 cell phone w/ FM Radio Review

LG KS20
LG is known to be one of main producers of stylish phones and in following this trend, they have added a new member to their roster of incredibly fashionable phones, the LG KS20. With a design similar to that of the Prada phone except for a few differences in terms of functionality and its purpose.

The LJ KS20 comes with a camera, a commonplace among phones nowadays. Since it is not meant to be a “cam phone” its 2 mega pixel camera unit which comes with auto-focus and LED flash has the same quality you would expect with other smart phones. Not entirely terrible but it is nothing to be excited about.

There is a 3 second wait to get the LG KS20 camera up and running and about 5 seconds more to capture and save a photo. There is also a camcorder option where in you can record in QVGA, QCIF and Sub-QCIF formats. Since the frame rate is slow, the quality of these videos is low too.

As for multimedia, the LG KS20 comes with [Read more...]

LG enV2 (VX9100) Review

If, at first glance, you think that the screen is very small, look again and wait until it flips open. The external display screen of the LG VX9100 enV2 for Verizon is just for the basic cell phone menu, such as the person calling or the number you want to call, while inside contains the QWERTY keyboard ideal for web surfing and tinkering with the stereo speakers.

Unlike the previous model, the LG VX9900 enV, this successor misses the bulk due to its slim and smaller design and boasts of 2.4” internal screen size. Currently out in the market in two colors, black and maroon, both will still showcase a handsome – or beautiful, depending how you will look at it – piece of mobile gadget. [Read more...]

HTC MOGUL Review

A supposedly newer and better version of the P4000 Titan, the HTC Mogul comes as the replacement for the PPS-6700 from Sprint’s roster and the XV-6700 for Verizon. A hefty package of ingenious features and options all packed into a small phone. Even with a full QWERTY keyboard, this lovely piece of technology still manages to keep it all in a medium sized package. The question that’s hanging on everyone’s head is if the Mogul can provide an equally strong performance to balance out all the great features it has.

Let’s start with the camera which is a 2 mega pixel unit. There is flash, a great addition, but since it is not a xenon flash, its range is rather limited. So when taking pictures in the dark, it could be useful but the use for it decreases the farther the object is. One great thing is that it only takes about 2 seconds to start the camera up. About a total of 4 photos can be capture within a span of 10 seconds which is absolutely wonderful! The quality [Read more...]
