Question by Jennifer W: How do I find the geocache location?
Ok, I bought the GPS. I went online and got coordinates. (North with numbers and West with numbers.) What now? How does that make sense to the GPS?

Best answer:

Answer by Doofus
Okay, it really depends on the GPS you have, so we need more info to get it exactly. But…

There are two ways to enter coordinates to your GPS. This is the easiest:

Generally there is a “Mark” button on the screen in the main menu. It marks your current location’s coordinates, however you can edit the coordinates there. Use whatever up/down function you have for the GPS to move the cursor to the coordinates and click. From there, enter the coordinates exactly as you saw them online. (example; N 45 49.983, W 85 45.009) Then, hit whatever your “enter” button is. Then, there should be an OK button down the screen. Select that, but pay attention to the waypoint name (by default usually 008, 003, etc. at the top of the screen), so you can find it later before you hit OK. At the main menu again, there should be a “Find” button. Select that, go to the waypoint name on the list of waypoints, and select the geocache waypoint. (It’s Name) That should do it.

Another way involves you plugging the GPS into your computer with the provided cord, going to the cache page, and clicking the button “Send to GPS”. This only works if it is a Garmin or DeLorme GPS. It should detect it automatically. Then, click “Write”, and the cache will be sent from your computer to your GPS. To navigate to the cache, it works the same as above, going to the “Find” section. The cache name is automatically its GC # that appears in the top right of it’s cache page online.

This process is hard to explain in words, and I’ll bet there are some great video tutorials online. Try YouTube and see if you find anything else. Hope this helps and good luck!

Electronics?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Question by nene: Electronics?!?!?!?!?!?!?
in the study of electronics, do you think elctrons and components are two main things that are studied?

Best answer:

Answer by Clock Cleaner
In the study of electronics, you study things like protons, electrons, ..etc in the very beginning. And you also study things like current flow, voltage, resistance (you study a component called resistance).

then you start off learning about all kinds of components, so yeah, you are somewhat right. But you also learn a lot of Math, and a lot about programming mainly in C Language and C++
